(Sr. Teresa) On March 20, 2001, more than 25 helpers were at the retreat center in Waukesha, Wisconsin helping to make pizzas. This is an annual fund raiser held by the Mothers' League from the local Schoenstatt Movement. This is not only a day to raise funds but an opportunity to be together, to work together, and to get to know each other better. Many of the ladies are happy to participate and they say that this kind of activity helps to "build community."

The Annual Pizza-Making Day starts with a Holy Mass in the International Shrine of the Father Kingdom at 8:30 am. Then, after the spiritual food the ladies are offered breakfast at the center. During this time, they greet each other and also get to know each other a little bit more.

A Labor Done With Love and Joy

Then its time to get to work!!! It is explained to the ladies how the pizzas are made. An assembly line is formed – first the crust, then the sauce, then the cheese, then the meat, then packing in plastic bags, then sorting according to orders!

One of the ladies expressed the thought that "It is a lot of fun to do this together, it is a nice job because we can talk and share with each other in between." After all the pizzas are finished, everybody helps to clean up. And then, the best part of the day comes. Lunch Time! "Guess what we have for lunch," said one lady: " PIZZA!!!" – A labor done with much love and joy!
