(mkf) On October 18, 1975, the Aurum Patris Shrine in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, was dedicated. The Schoenstatt Family of Gauteng celebrates the 25th anniversary of this Shrine in joy and gratitude. The main celebration with a festive Holy Mass will be held on Saturday, October 21.

Several representatives of the Schoenstatt Movement of Zimbabwe will join in the celebrations in Johannesburg. More would come if travel fares would not be so expensive. The Zimbabwean Schoenstatt members feel linked with the Aurum Patris Shrine as this is the closest Shrine and place of deep Schoenstatt experience for many of them.

Aurum Patris, Gold of the Father, is the name and mission of the Shrine - referring to the gold mines and pointing at the call and privilege to be the gold mine of the heavenly Father.
